If you pick up at noon then it is due back at noon the next day.

Get High and Stay High

The trick to beating the heat is to get yourself up to altitude…. translated the mountains…. Blue Ridge Parkway…. Cherohala Skyway… Tail of the Dragon,  Helen GA,  Dahlonega GA, and stay up there.

For every thousand feet of altitude the temperature drop is 3-5 degrees as any pilot will tell you.  So you will indeed beat the heat by heading to the hills.   Think of it if it is 90 degrees in town you will be looking at a cool 75 degrees up in the mountains.

This time of year I absolutely love to make side trips off the Blue Ridge Parkway.  The roads up and down to the parkway make for fun and exciting riding… Especiallly check out the rides out of Little Switzerland North Carolina and consider home baseing there if you can string a few vacation days together.

Yes it is indeed getting into the dog days of summer …. but not in the mountains.    Remember you are a short 45 minutes away from the cool leaving out of Atlanta on one of Dan’s Motorcycles.

Riding Buddy Bike Swap

You can make your rental from Dan’s Motorcycles fleet even more fun and exciting.   How is that you say?….why not trade motorcycles with your friends and riding buddy (s)  while all of you are out touring on my rentals motorcycles.    Imagine renting one motorcycle but getting to ride and test out other motorcycles from my rental fleet.

The cost is only $25  for the duration of your rental period.   Put another way, whether you and your buddy (s)  rent for a day or a week the charge is a flat $25 for me to process the additional paperwork.

Here is how it works… from the RENT tab on the website scroll down to the OPTIONS list and click “Riding Buddy Swap”. You will then will have the option to throw your leg over any of the machines in your group of fellow riders and get the feel of a completely different motorcycle.

For example,  you  can’t decide on which Sport Tourer to go with.  By bringing other friends with you then you can literally trade motorcycles whenever you want. Maybe one of you rents the Goldwing and the others can take turns about on the Concours 14, ST 1300 or the Yamaha FJR 1300… you get the idea… the more the merrier.

Spring Has Arrived Early In Atlanta

Now is the perfect time to plan your motorcycle ride in Atlanta….
